The Art of David Everett: Another World
10:45 am - 11:30 am
Thursday, October 28, 2021

Beaumont-born and Austin-based David Everett’s visual art represents a deeply personal vision of the natural wonders of Texas. His sculptures, woodcuts, and drawings frequently depict Lone Star fauna (horny toads, armadillos, and owls, and much more) and have been collected in a new full-color collection from Texas A&M University Press. Join the book’s editor—curator Becky Duval Reese—as well as Wittliff Collections curator and former Texas Institute of Letters president Steve Davis, teacher and author Richard Holland, and David Everett himself as they discuss the new book and Everett’s body of work.
