Real Reads
About the Program
Modeled after our long-running elementary-focused Reading Rock Stars program, Real Reads aims to foster the love of reading in young readers, primarily serving Texas middle school and high school students. Students have the opportunity to engage in reading and writing through peer-based book studies and connect with award-winning authors through an in-person session. In each Real Reads program, students hear from the author about their creative journey, process, and inspiration. Students also prepare thoughtful questions in advance and have the chance to ask them directly.
