National Poetry Month with TORCH

Celebrate National Poetry Month with TORCH Literary Arts and their April Feature, Toi Derricotte! Derricotte is the recipient of the Academy of American Poets’ 2021 Wallace Stevens Award, the 2020 Frost Medal from The Poetry Society of America, and cofounder of Cave Canem Foundation. Torch Literary Arts is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established to publish and promote creative writing by Black women. They publish contemporary writing by experienced and emerging writers alike. TORCH has featured work by Colleen J. McElroy, Tayari Jones, Sharon Bridgforth, Crystal Wilkinson, Patricia Smith, Natasha Trethewey, Elizabeth Alexander, and others. Programs include the Wildfire Reading Series, writing workshops, and retreats.
