Moving Forward: From Space-Age Rides to Civil Rights Sit-Ins with Airman Alton Yates covers the life of Alton Yates, his experiences in the Air Force and his dedication to the Civil Rights Movement once he came home. Indelible Ann: The-Larger-Than-Life Story of Governor Ann Richards tells the story of Dorothy Ann Richards—how she found her passion for civic duty and her experience taking on the political world in Texas. In What Do You Do with a Voice Like That?: The Story of Extraordinary Congresswoman Barbara Jordan author Chris Barton explores the life of Barbara Jordan— Congresswoman, lawyer, educator, and civil rights leader.
