Warren Binford

Warren Binford is an internationally recognized children’s rights scholar and advocate who serves as the inaugural W.H. Lea for Justice Endowed Chair in Pediatric Law, Ethics & Policy at the University of Colorado where she is a Professor of Pediatrics in the School of Medicince and Professor of Law at CU Law School. For over twenty years, Warren has provided pro bono legal support to children and families in crisis, as well as guidance on legislation and public policy. She has published approximately eighty written works, including law review articles, book chapters, essays, NGO publications, editorials, and a children’s book. She is a frequent speaker on children’s issues, giving over two hundred presentations and a hundred media interviews worldwide. Warren holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A., summa cum laude with distinction, and an Ed.M. from Boston University. Warren lives in Oregon with her family where she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, and mountain climbing in her free time.
