Steven Saylor is author of the Roma Sub Rosa series of crime thrillers set in ancient Rome, climaxing with the latest, The Throne of Caesar. He also wrote A Twist at the End, a novel based on the notorious 1885 serial murders in Austin. Majoring in History and dabbling in Classics at the University of Texas prepared him for his very specialized career as an author. He splits his time between homes in Austin and Berkeley, California.
