Sheyda F.A. Jahanbani

Sheyda F. A. Jahanbani is an historian of American foreign relations specializing in the post-1945 period. She is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Kansas and has written extensively on the history of postwar US foreign relations. She is especially interested in the emergence of distinctly “global” problems like poverty in the post-World War II period. Her book, The Poverty of the World: Rediscovering the Poor at Home and Abroad, 1941-1968 was published by Oxford University Press this year and offers a bold revisionist interpretation of US foreign policy after World War II.
