Laura Lewis, a regionalist painter of west Texas, captures the landscapes and skyscapes of the Great Plains of Texas. With works in the permanent collection of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, the Bobbie and John Nau Collection of Texas Arts, and in several corporate collections, including a mural commissioned by Chevron Corp., depicting the history of oil discovery in the Permian Basin. Her paintings are featured in and as the cover art for Of Texas Rivers and Texas Art. She lives in Mason, Texas.
