
Gilberto Rosas
Gilberto Rosas is an associate professor of anthropology and Latina/Latino studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and originally from El Paso, Texas. He is the author of the award-winning Barrio Libre: Criminalizing States and Delinquent Refusals of the New Frontier, and is a long time researcher, writer, and thinker on border people, migrants, and policing. He is currently writing a novel, which based on his research on family separation and other border experiences.
