Elaine Hampton

Elaine Hampton, Ph.D., has a long career as an educator and researcher with experiences on both sides of the U.S.-Mexican border, from teaching sixth graders in an abandoned school bus on the outskirts of Ciudad Juarez to Associate Professor and Department Chair in Teacher Education at the University of Texas at El Paso. She is also the author of the award-winning eight-year ethnographic work with a factory worker in Juárez, Anay’s Will to Learn: A Woman’s Education in the Shadow of the Maquiladora. As the owner of STEM Educational Associates, she provides assistance in qualitative research, curriculum design, and program evaluation.
