Eduardo Vega

Eddie Vega is a poet and spoken word artist known for writing about food, Tejano culture, and social justice. He has competed in national and regional poetry slams since 2014 and placed 2nd in Haiku Death Match at the 2017 National Poetry Slam. His poem, “Paleta-Man,” was featured as a San Antonio Tricentennial Poem and graphically displayed on a downtown window. Although born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, he is currently an educator in San Antonio. Vega’s book is entitled Chicharra Chorus and is available through FlowerSong Books.
