Douglas Brinkley

Douglas Brinkley is Katherine Tsanoff Brown Chair and Professor of History at Rice University, a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, and CNN’s official historian. He also serves as Presidential Historian at New York Historical Society. His most recent books are The Great Deluge, Cronkite, The Wilderness Warrior, and Rightful Heritage. Six of his books have been selected as New York Times Notable Books of the Year. In 2017 he won a Grammy Award for his work with Jazz at Lincoln Center. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and three children.
