Clemente Guzman

Clemente F. Guzman III grew up in a family of migrant workers, splitting his time between Texas and Minnesota. He became the longtime artist for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, where he provided wildlife and nature illustrations for hunting stamps, posters, license plates, and for the Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine and many other department publications. He illustrated several books like Hummingbirds of Texas by Clifford Shackelford, Madge Lindsay, and Mark Klym, Scout, the Christmas Dog by Andrew Sansom, and Birds of the Texas Hill Country by Mark W. Lockwood. In 2017, he retired from his position as Staff Artist from TPWD. Today he lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Gabriela and continues to paint the natural beauty of Texas wildlife and landscapes.
