Carmela Ciuraru is the author of Lives of the Wives: Five Literary Marriages, which has received international media attention and is a New York Times “Editors’ Choice” selection. She is also the author of Nom de Plume: A (Secret) History of Pseudonyms and several poetry anthologies. She grew up in Houston and now lives in New York City.
