Anne R. Keene is the author of The Cloudbuster Nine: The Untold Story of Ted Williams and the Baseball Team That Helped Win WWII. She began her career as a press secretary on Capitol Hill. Her work has appeared in The New York Times and The Dallas Morning News, and she has collaborated with National Geographic Books on historic projects. The Cloudbuster Nine was billed by Newsday magazine in the “Top 12 Baseball Reads for the Season,” and chosen as the Austin American-Statesman book of the month featured by BookPeople in “Statesman Selects.” Keene is a North Carolina native and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who resides in Austin, Texas.
