Join Anastacia-Renee and Airea D. Matthews for poetic musings on the intersections of race, class, gender, and more.  Side Notes from the Archivist elevates the enduring power of Black culture through a funkadelic feminist lens, darting through reflections of iconic images and critiques of systemic oppression through Anastacia-Renee’s genre-crossing, captivating voice. Bread & Circus investigates the space between theory and reality through her analytical and autobiographical poems critiquing Scottish economist Adam Smith and French Marxist Guy Debord and the self-interest-idealizing theories they espoused.
