Authors Sajni Patel, Mazey Eddings, and Jonny Garza Villa join us to discuss young adult romance with neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC main characters as featured in their 2023 novels. Patel is the author of Sleepless in Dubai, a hate-to-love teen rom-com featuring two South Asian teens traveling to Dubai. Eddings is the author of Tilly in Technicolor, which follows two neurodiverse teens spending a summer in Europe together. Garza Villa’s Ander & Santi Were Here tells the story of a nonbinary Mexican-American teen falling for the new waiter at their family’s taqueria.
