Everyday Science: Our Sense of Smell and the Hidden Chemistry in Everything
4:45 pm - 5:30 pm
Friday, October 29, 2021

Science is all around us, all the time, and the authors on this panel help you to see it in action every day. Austin-based chemist Kate Biberdorf  (It’s Elemental: The Hidden Chemistry in Everything) is so passionate about molecules that she’ll make you an enthusiast yourself. Jude Stewart is most interested in specific type of molecule: the ones that hit our nose every second of the day. Her Revelations in the Air is an exploration of the sense of smell (including, yes, the smell of books).
