El Paso, Kerrville, Terlingua: The Sound of Texas and a Sense of Place
4:00 pm - 4:45 pm
Sunday, October 31, 2021

The music of Texas is as varied as its people—which is to say very. Three new books highlight geographically specific scenes that, together, represent the rich tapestry of Texas. Join David Johnson (photographer of the iconic Kerrville Folk Festival), W. Chase Peeler (chronicler of the vibrant musicians of  Terlingua), and Benjamin Villegas (novelizer of Chicano punk band ELPASO) as they discuss the diverse but unmistakable sound of Texas music.
