Authors sign books immediately after their sessions in either the Adult or Children’s Signing Tents on Congress Avenue. Signing schedules will be posted on the signing tents.
Please Note: Sylvia Acevedo and Jacqueline Woodson will sign at First United Methodist Church immediately after their sessions. They will not sign in the tent. Books by Scott Kelly will be pre-signed, there will not be a public signing after his session.

All books by Festival authors are available to purchase in one of the BookPeople Sales Tents (general adult and children’s), located on Congress Avenue. In order to join any signing line at the Texas Book Festival, a purchase must be made in one of the BookPeople Book Sales Tents. A receipt from a BookPeople Book Sales Tent must be presented in the Book Signing tents and at signing venues.
Our general Festival rule allows festival goers to bring one book from home to be signed, so long as at least one book is purchased in the BookPeople Book Sales Tent. This guideline varies from author to author, however, and depends on a variety of factors, including the length of the signing line, the amount of time an author has to sign books, and the signing guidelines given to us by the author’s publisher. We cannot guarantee that books brought from home will be signed. Volunteers at the signing venues will let you know whether or not additional books are permitted.
Volunteers in the signing tent will also let you know how many books you may have signed per author, whether photos are permitted, etc. For the most part, only books will be signed, no memorabilia will be permitted. Thank you for cooperating with all signing guidelines!
