2021 FAQ

We’ve gathered a few of the most frequently asked questions here. Please feel free to reach out to bookfest@texasbookfestival.org if you have any further questions.

  • Are masks required? Masks are required for everyone ages 2+
    • Masks encouraged for everyone ages 2+ at Austin Public Library on 10/31 and Symphony Square on 10/30 for children’s storytime sessions while not eating or drinking.
  • How do I register for in-person sessions?
    • Please visit texasbookfestival.org, click on the “Festival” menu, and find the tabs for in-person events. In those tabs you’ll see options to RSVP.
  • Will there be author book signings?
    • Some authors appearing in-person will be signing, some won’t. We’ll be updating via email all attendees registered for in-person events with further details at least a week before the event, and will also be keeping everyone updated on-site at Austin Central Library and Symphony Square the weekend of 10/30 to 10/31.
  • What happens if I can’t make a virtual panel’s broadcast time?
    • All sessions will be viewable until at least the end of the year.
