Texas Book Festival is pleased to present a special opportunity to sit down and dine with acclaimed food journalist, Mark Bittman. Join us at Emmer & Rye on Saturday, November 4 at 11:00am for a three course brunch based on Bittman’s seminal cookbook, How to Cook Everything Vegetarian: Completely Revised Tenth Anniversary Edition.

Tickets cost $150 and include a three course brunch, and a signed copy of How to Cook Everything Vegetarian. Bittman will be on hand to mingle with guests and talk about his book, which has made vegetarian cooking accessible for everyone for ten years.

On Sunday, November 5, Bittman will be in conversation with Addie Broyles of the Austin American-Statesman in the Central Market Cooking Tent at the Texas Book Festival. Keep an eye out for our schedule, which will go live in mid-October, for more details. The Festival conversation is free and open to the public to attend.

Mark Bittman is the author of 20 acclaimed books, including the How to Cook Everything series, the award-winning Food Matters, and The New York Times number-one bestseller, VB6: Eat Vegan Before 6:00. For more than two decades his popular and compelling stories appeared in the Times, where he was ultimately the lead food writer for the Sunday Magazine and became the country’s first food-focused Op-Ed columnist for a major news publication.

Throughout his career Bittman has strived for the same goal: to make the food, in all its aspects, understandable.
