But instead of us blabbing on about how awesome this year’s authors are (we might be a bit biased), we thought we’d round up some of the recent media coverage from the author announcement. Enjoy!

What event could bring together Gary Hart and John Sununu, Jonathan Lethem and Lemony Snicket, Taye Diggs and Leonard Pitts, Robert Christgau and Jessica Hopper? The Texas Book Festival, natch. And for its 20th edition, the annual lit extravaganza has booked a record 300 authors. –Robert Faires

This year the festival will host more authors than ever before. Book lovers will unite in Austin on Oct. 17 and 18 for the 20th anniversary of the Texas Book Festival, which announced its full lineup Thursday— a record number of almost 300 authors who’ll be coming to the Capitol and surrounding grounds. The festival, which draws about 40,000 people over two days, includes writers in literary fiction, genre fiction, history, politics, Texana, memoir, cooking and children’s literature. The Texas Book Festival will once again be giving readers plenty of good reasons to make the trip to Austin next month. Say, 300 of them. That’s how many authors are scheduled to attend, meaning the festival’s 20th year will be its largest, organizers say. The free event takes place Oct. 17 and 18. At an intimate rooftop cocktail party in downtown Austin on Thursday evening, Austin’s literati celebrated as the Texas Book Festival revealed the complete list of over 300 authors headed to the 2015 Texas Book Festival. On October 17 and 18, the Texas State Capitol Grounds will welcome the largest number of authors in the Festival’s 20-year history.
