Lynne Cheney, author of Blue Skies, No Fences: A Memoir of Childhood and Family, is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., has long emphasized the importance of knowing American history and teaching it well. She is the author or co-author of eleven books, including five New York Times bestsellers for children and their families. She is married to Vice President Dick Cheney.
